The legendary Porsche 911 Carrera can now be ordered from the factory with Hankook Ventus S1 Evo Z tyres fitted as Original Equipment for the very first time.
This means that every qualifying Porsche 911 Carrera leaves the production line on specially developed Hankook tyres, carrying the NA2 Porsche approval marking.
Developed Specifically for the Porsche 911
The tyres fitted to the new 911 Carrera aren’t simply adapted from an existing range.

Development included testing at several world-renowned proving grounds, including:
- Nardò, Italy – high-speed handling and stability
- IDIADA, Spain – vehicle dynamics and lane-change performance
- Papenburg, Germany – handling evaluation
- Pferdsfeld, Germany – wet grip and braking performance
The result is a tyre that delivers the performance expected from the Porsche badge while remaining suitable for everyday road driving.
What Does the “NA2” Marking Mean?
If you notice NA2 stamped on the tyre sidewall, it indicates that the tyre has been specifically homologated and approved by Porsche.
Manufacturers use unique approval markings to show that a tyre has been developed for a particular vehicle.
These OE tyres are designed to complement the car’s suspension, steering geometry, weight distribution and electronic safety systems, helping deliver the driving characteristics intended by the manufacturer.
